The song library
Twenty-nine songs on four shelves, and where your own work is kept.
The Songs tab in the left sidebar is the library. The song name in the top bar jumps there.
The shelves
| Shelf | What is on it |
|---|---|
| Lantia | Four pieces — Lantern Town, Ember Road, Moonlit Harbor, Gale Keep — all opening on the same lead motif, so switching between them plays like one game’s soundtrack |
| Samples | Ten standalone mood studies, one motif each |
| Everdusk | A ten-song RPG set: added-note harmony and borrowed chords |
| D&B | Five melodic drum and bass tracks: rolling two-step breaks, sine subs, saw leads |
Shelves collapse, and your own songs can be filed into folders of your own.
Your work is kept per song
The library has its own memory, separate from the file autosave. Switching songs snapshots the outgoing one first, so every song keeps its own edits rather than one buffer being overwritten by whatever you opened last.
- Built-ins can be reset to their bundled version at any time.
- Save as new song files the current document as a user song.
- Work opened from disk or a share link is adopted into the library automatically before a switch could lose it.
All of it is local to your browser. There is no account, and nothing is synced anywhere.
Adding songs from disk
Songs are discovered from the filesystem when you run the tool yourself: drop a .strudel file
into a shelf directory and it appears in the library. The directory names the shelf, a numeric
prefix orders it, and the banner comment names the song — no code change required.
